India Mysore
This single-origin comes from Mysore, in the south-western state of Karnataka, from where the history of coffee in India was born, brought by Babaduan. This is a mixed varietal coffee of Arabica: Chandigiri, Cauvery and many selections of spontaneous and wild crosses. Grown in the shade at an altitude of 1,000 metres, the cherry is harvested, plucked and sorted immediately, then washed without fermentation to remove the mucilage and dried naturally in the sun on patios at the maturing centre, a dry mill where the washed Arabica grown in the Coorg region is expertly selected. The fruit of this plantation is among the Excellence: it has a good body and pleasant aromaticity with low and delicate acidity. It hits the palate with the dense mellowness of cocoa and the memory of scents of incense, sandalwood and Indian spices, sometimes even pepper, often grown next to coffee plantations. A true oriental essence among great coffees.
