Nicaragua Colibrì Azul
This coffee is cultivated in the Jinotega region in the north of Nicaragua, 160 km from Managua, with the highest production of quality coffee in the country, especially the SHG, a very well-balanced cup coffee. The blue hummingbird coffee is produced at the finca of the Aldea Global smallholder cooperative in the Cerro Datanlí-El Diablo Nature Reserve, home to more than 250 species of birds, including the blue hummingbird from which the finca and this coffee are named. Its main values are: gender equity, harmony with the environment and solidarity. Like all Nicaraguan coffee, known for its cultivation process as most of the coffee plants grow in the thick forest of trees, the fruity peach aroma and sweetness that characterises it is due to the ripening of the cherries in the shade, and in particular the one grown in Jinotega as this single-origin has stood out for years and is now recognised as one of the most special coffees in the world.
