Panama Bouquete el Salto
Casa Ruiz is a group of small farmers in the renowned Boquete region, near the border with Costa Rica, who have always respected the environment and the territory. It has been working in coffee for three generations and has founded a literacy programme for workers. The founder of Finca El Salto, in Chiriqui, famous for its premium coffees, the company that selected this coffee, started in the coffee business as far back as 1900 when he moved from Bethlehem, in the Middle East and now the Suàrez family employs 100 permanent employees with the aim of providing high-quality coffee while leaving a healthy environment for future generations. This is a selection of one of the best batches of the Casa Ruiz farm, SHB EP: the combination of altitude and soil rich in nutrients, gives the coffee a particular taste in the cup. For this coffee, only ripe and defect-free coffee drupes are hand-picked, then the coffee is washed and dried in the sun in raised beds and sorted in the 17/18 sieve. In the cup, our Panama presents complex and tasty aromas that are worth trying.
