Perù Diamante Verde
This speciality comes from the San Martín region, which has large river valleys and plateaus with hills and ravines, ideal for growing coffee. Once one of the poorest areas in the country, cocoa production alone, thanks to the switch to coffee, cocoa and honey crops has reduced poverty by 70%. It is a coffee from the Asociación de Productores Diamante Verde, which aims to improve the quality of life of farmers, with training, good practices and reciprocal support. That is why it focuses on the production of sustainable quality coffee that is Fair Trade and Organic certified: each farmer processed their cherries at home and forwarded the harvest to the association. This single-origin is part of a prized selection, grown under the strict methods certified by the Diamante Verde Association and boasts not only the SHB EP label, Strictly Hard Bean Extra Prime, intended for qualities harvested at high altitudes, thus the best, but also Grade 1 for the sieve.
